Maximum Length and Height Container Built for UAE Operations

The 45-foot high cube container is the largest standard container size in regular UAE commercial use. It combines the extra 1.5 metres of length over a 40ft unit with the full one-foot height advantage of a high cube build, giving you a floor area of over 31 m² and an internal volume of 86 m³ in a single container.

Large conversion contractors in Al Quoz Industrial Area 3 and 4 and Sharjah Industrial Area 12 use the 45ft high cube for complex multi-room builds, accommodation blocks, large cafeterias, training centres, and double-ended storage warehouses, where the 40ft unit falls short of the required floor area and the 20ft units require too many join points to achieve the same result.

Bulk cargo exporters moving oversized furniture sets, industrial shelving, long-span machinery, and tall packaged goods through Jebel Ali Port JAFZA and Khalifa Port Abu Dhabi use the 45ft high cube to eliminate cargo splits. The extra 1.5 metres of internal length and 31cm of additional height remove the two most common reasons a 40ft high cube requires an overflow container.

Market Context:  The 45ft high cube is the preferred base unit for large accommodation and welfare complex projects across UAE oil and gas, infrastructure, and construction sectors. Camp management contractors supplying ADNOC remote sites, Ruwais Industrial Complex, and large construction projects along Abu Dhabi highway corridors report that the 45ft high cube reduces the container count on a welfare complex build by 20 to 30 percent compared to using 40ft units, directly cutting foundation, transport, and joining costs. See Momentum's completed a many Projects for a reference build at this scale.

Momentum Containers supplies 45ft high cube containers from the Sharjah Inland Container Depot (SICD), off Emirates Road near Industrial Area 1. Units are available new, one-trip, and in graded used condition for sale and rental across all seven Emirates.

How 45ft High Cube Containers Are Constructed

ISO 668 certified, built for UAE road, port, and site operations

High-Tensile Corten Steel Frame Across 45 Feet

The main frame, floor crossmembers, and corner posts are welded from high-tensile Corten steel to ISO 1161 corner casting specification. The extended 45ft frame maintains full structural rigidity under stacking loads of up to 192,000 kg, the requirement for all UAE port terminals including Jebel Ali, Khalifa, and Hamriyah. No additional bracing is needed despite the longer span.

Eight Internal Floor Lashing D-Rings

Eight D-ring lashing points are welded directly into the floor crossmembers at 1,000 kg rated load per ring. They secure long-span cargo, conversion partition frames, and industrial equipment during transport from Sharjah SICD depot to project sites across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah.

ISO 668 Certification and Valid CSC Plate

All new and cargo-worthy units carry ISO 668 dimensional certification and a valid CSC plate required for movement through Jebel Ali Port, Khalifa Port, and all UAE customs clearance points. The plate records the manufacture date, next inspection date, and maximum stacking load, essential documentation for any container entering the UAE port system.

Industries Driving Demand for 45ft High Cube Containers in UAE

Maximum capacity builds, bulk tall cargo, and long-span site facilities across UAE

Large Accommodation and Welfare Complexes

Camp management contractors building accommodation blocks for ADNOC remote sites, Ruwais Industrial Complex, and large UAE infrastructure projects use the 45ft high cube to reduce the total container count. The extra 1.5 metres of length creates an additional bunk room, changing area, or utility space inside a single unit, reducing join points, foundation costs, and transport movements.

Large F&B and Retail Venue Concepts

Hospitality operators building permanent container restaurants, large branded kiosks, and multi-section retail concepts near La Mer Dubai, Bluewaters Island, and Yas Bay Waterfront Abu Dhabi use the 45ft high cube for full-size kitchen, service, and seating layouts inside a single container, without the structural complexity of joining two shorter units.

Maximum Capacity Conversion Builds

Fabricators in Al Quoz Industrial Area and Sharjah Industrial Area 12 use the 45ft high cube for training centres, large site offices, medical stations, and multi-function welfare units where the 40ft unit requires an additional container to achieve the required floor area. The 31.9 m² floor gives a finished room layout that covers full-shift workplace requirements.

Bulk FMCG and Dry Goods Storage

Large FMCG importers and dry goods distributors near Emirates Road logistics hubs and Jebel Ali South industrial zone use 45ft high cube containers as ground-level storage overflow. The 86 m³ internal volume and 31.9 m² floor area cover the full weekly replenishment volume for a mid-size distribution centre without building a permanent warehouse structure.

Long-Span and Oversized Cargo Export

Exporters moving long-span machinery, industrial shelving sets, extended furniture packs, and oversized retail fixtures through Jebel Ali Port JAFZA use the 45ft high cube when both the length and height of a 40ft high cube fall short. The extra 1.5 metres and 31cm of height together eliminate the need for a second container on most large commercial load configurations.

High-Volume Industrial Storage

Businesses in KIZAD Abu Dhabi, Dubai Industrial Park, and Hamriyah Free Zone use 45ft high cube containers for maximum-capacity ground-level storage of tall racking systems, long-span steel sections, and bulk industrial inventory. The extra floor area over a 40ft unit stores roughly 20 percent more volume without increasing container count.
